Picture this: a 20-minute performance in the heart of the city, no dress code required. Just come as you are, relax, and soak in the opera vibes in the centre of town. Our unique "Jukebox opera" presents selected songs from Mozart Operas, spun into a fresh and fun storyline.

At Opera aLive, sparked by Freya Turton's vision, we're giving classical music a fresh spin. With a cast of professional singers from the Prins Claus Convervatory and a unique line up of musicians, we’re teaming up with writers and directors working in the industry to reinvent opera, with our short and accessible productions.
Join us and witness how music transcends boundaries, connecting people across generations and cultures.
Think Rapunzel with a twist! Instead of a girl locked in a tower, we meet Dave, an everyday man. Not realising his outdated views are keeping him trapped in his tower, Susan, his wife, longs to be free. Our hero, Égal, answers Susan’s calls and attempts to release them both in the face of our omnificent antagonist: Mr P.
Will Égal be able to defeat Mr P and convince Dave to leave his tower?
